Dont' be afraid of 35
by: Barbara Lewis

Should i say my real age as a singer? i am 35 and i find embarassing to say my real age? Or should i just say i am 33 just to avoid criticism from the others.

Hi

If it were me, I would say 35 - which is still very young. You can take up singing at any time in your life. Your chances of "making it" as a singer are slim - no matter your age. It's a tough business to rise above the many other hopeful singers.

But you can still enjoy singing - and get work as a singer if you sound good, you sing the right songs for your voice and personality and you have something of value to say through your voice.

Don't be afraid of 35!

My best,
Barbara Lewis
